Monty MOnty's Cross Country Trek
"Monty's Cross Country Trek"

Monty's journey to his forever home in Holden MA, began at a shelter somewhere in Colorado.  He was a stray, we think.  An elderly couple from Vermont vacationing in Colorado, adopted Monty and named him Drifter.  Monty and the couple drove back to Vermont in their camper.  A couple of months later, after some biting incidents and some out of control sheepdog antics, Monty found himself back in a shelter.

When the NEOESR heard about him, Sue Shea went and sprung him from his cage.  Poor Monty, he needed alot of help.  He did not get along with Sue's dogs, so Sue fostered him for a few months and taught him how to be adoptable.

In the meantime, I had just lost my OES after about 14 1/2 years.  I am the kind of person that can't live without a dog, but I didn't want a puppy.  Then I found the NEOESR website.
The rest is history.  Monty is now a well adjusted, spoiled OES house dog.
