We first got involved with NEOESR in October 1999.  Our first rescue dog was Shelby, a
wonderful loving sheepie.  From the day my husband and I picked her up, we knew that she was the one for us.  We didn't have Shelby very long, maybe a few weeks, when we found out that she had cancer.  I was heartbroken, she was such a GOOD dog.  She loved everyone and got along with our  other dog Buddy without a problem.  Shelby was loved and was very special to us.  We are so happy that we were able to give her a great life even though it was a short time.  She didn't leave before she knew how to love and how it felt to be loved back.  We lost Shelby within 7 months.  My customers and friends still talk about what a great dog she was.  She will always be sadly missed.

Being a sheepie lover, I knew there was another sheepie needing a good home so the call went out to Grannie Annie.  Lo and Behold, once again we got a call about a young 16 month old, full of energy needing a home.  Molly is her name.  For 16 months she had been crated and didn't know
how to play.  Then she came home with my husband and I.  Molly loves to run in her big fenced-in yard, loves to play frisbee, ball and hide and seek.  Yes, we play hide and seek all the time.  She loves to go for a walk in the park or in the neighborhood, the only thing is that Molly is the leader.  She looks back to make sure you are on the other end of the leash as she doesn't want to lose you!
Molly is great with our grandchildren and loves to play in the yard when they are here.  Sometimes she gets carried away with her loving, she loves to lick, lick and lick.  If you are sitting on a chair, she is a lap dog, (so she thinks).  When we are upstairs in the sewing room too long she will start pulling fabric from my bins and drag it over to me.  I am a quilter and sometimes I get carried away with time.  At this point, I know I need to pay attention to her or else I'm in trouble.  It's Molly's way of telling me, "HEY MOM, DID YOU FORGET ABOUT ME??? I AM DONE WITH MY NAP AND I NEED SOME ATTENTION SO LET'S GO OUT AND PLAY BALL!"

Molly just turned 4 February 2003 and she is making up for the first 16 months of being crated.  She is a sweet dog, full of love and lots and lots of energy.  She is great for Buddy, who is now 15 years old, she gets him up on his feet and keeps him moving.  Although Buddy is not a sheepie, he is a rescue dog and he has been with us for 14 1/2 years.  Counting Molly, Buddy has lived with 4 sheepies and has been a great play mate to all.  We enjoy Molly and she is very special and very much loved.  However, Molly spends most of her time with me (mom) since I work at home.  I don't know what I would do without her.  Thanks to Grannie Annie our life is full of FUR, LICKS, AND LOTS AND LOTS OF LOVE.  THANK YOU!
