"I took Taffy to a therapy visit today, the first time he has seen
handicapped
children. He doesn't think they are any different from other kids.
He let a
little girl who was crippled walk him today and she laughed and walked
a long
way. He pulled a boy in a wheelchair who was paralyzed and did a sit
for a
boy who couldn't talk very well. I gave Taffy the hand signal from
behind the
boy and the boy was ecstatic that Taffy sat on command for him. The
other
kids loved his tricks especially when Taffy could spell . I give a
hand
signal and spell the words sit, down, stand etc. and the kids think
he really
spells. It doesn't work with adults. It is a wonderful feeling that
Taffy
does this for the kids and they love him and he loves them back and
loves the
attention too. It is worth more than any title he could earn. The kids
all
want him back and so did the workers. " Patty
